Michelle has been dancing for 14 years and has been on pointe for 6 years. She dances at her home studio, On Stage Dance Academy, and has danced competitively for 9 years. This is her second year with AZYB. For Nutcracker 2018, she was very excited to have the opportunity to perform as the Sugar Plum Fairy. This Spring, she is cast as the role of Evil Stepsister in Cinderella. Even though ballet is Michelle’s true calling, she also loves to do other styles of dance (tap, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, acrobatics).
Miranda Howe started dancing ballet at age four. She enjoyed performing as Dew Drop Fairy in the 2019 Nutcracker production, and she is excited to dance the role of Firebird. She has been with Arizona Youth Ballet for four years. She has attended Summer Intensives at Ballet Arizona, Salt Creek Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She enjoys ballroom dancing, reading, and traveling.
Rhiannon has been dancing for 16 years and has been a member of Arizona Youth Ballet since its beginning. She has had numerous roles in Nutcracker, including Sugar Plum, Snow Queen, Dew Drop Fairy, Marzipan, Chinese, Lead Spanish, Grandma, and Flowers. Rhiannon was thrilled to dance the role of Cinderella in AZYB’s first production of Cinderella and is excited to be the Fairy Godmother in the 2019 production of Cinderella. In her spare time loves to spend time with her friends and family, read and cook.
Amber Montgomery is 18 and has been studying ballet for four years. This is her second season with Arizona Youth Ballet. She is working towards a career in ballet as a dancer, and a teacher as well.
