April 2022

We are a few weeks away from our spring performance! Our dancers have been working hard and our creative staff has been busy collaborating on what is surely to be a memorable performance of Snow White! Come see our talented dancers and be prepared to smile and be entertained. Tell your family and friends!

August 2021

We were so pleased with our turnout for Company auditions and can’t wait to get this dance season started! Don’t worry if you missed it, just contact us (arizonayouthballet@gmail.com) and we can do both Company and Nutcracker auditions at the same time. Nutcracker auditions are coming up on August 14th. Guest artists/dancers are welcome to audition (you don’t have to be part of our ballet company), adult roles available too!

AZYB featured on Sonoran Living

Arizona Youth Ballet was recently featured on Sonoran Living (@sonoranliving) and Ms. Christina and one of our talented dancers, Ava, were interviewed by Terri Ouellette about the program.  Valley Toyota Dealers also awarded AZYB with a $500 gift card to help support our program and dancers!  This recognition is part of their “Helping Kids Go Places” campaign and we are honored to be a part! Letter to Dancers

2019-20 Season; A message to our dancers:

As we near the traditional beginning of the new Season, the Board of Arizona Youth Ballet and Artistic Staff have met to discuss this upcoming year.

As promised at the end of the 2019-2020 Season, the Board of AZYB holds the safety and health of dancers, families and staff in the highest regard.  We have promised to consider this when making decisions on future performances.

We are excited to announce the upcoming 2020-2021 Season.  After careful consideration, the Board and Staff have made the decision to hold auditions for the company and Nutcracker.  Auditions will be held in person, in small groups, or by Zoom.  Reservations for auditions will be required so we may ensure we can follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing and safety protocols.  All rehearsals will be kept small as well for the same reason and health and safety protocols will be in place.

The Board understands that we cannot expect dancers and families to devote time to rehearsals without the promise of performances!  At this time, we can promise exciting plans for our 2020 Nutcracker, details about which will be released shortly. These plans will take AZYB in a new and exciting direction, while ensuring safety for all.

Congratulations to Michelle Fricker

Congratulations to Principal Michelle Fricker!  Michelle has been accepted to the dance program at the University of Arizona! Michelle was also awarded the honor of a Full Merit Scholarship! This is a great opportunity for Michelle and we know she will do great things!  We are excited for her and so proud for her for all her hard work!
