On March 16th, a Clearwater Agritopia assisted living retirement community resident was overheard saying “There are young people here today!” while observing Arizona Youth Ballet company members arriving to prepare for a performance. Several company members, including special guest appearances by artistic staff, collaborated to provide excerpts of the upcoming ballet production, “Cinderella”. Dancers performed before an audience of residents and spent time visiting with residents and answering questions after the show. It was a day well spent that brought joy to both residents and dancers alike.

Preparations are underway for our spring performance, ”Cinderella”! This is the second season that Arizona Youth Ballet has partnered with CanDance Studios and our company (comprised of different studio dancers) has grown by leaps and bounds! We were so pleased with our turnout for Company auditions and can’t wait to get this dance season started! Don’t worry if you missed it, just contact us (arizonayouthballet@gmail.com) and we can do both Company and Nutcracker auditions at the same time. Nutcracker auditions are coming up on August 14th. Guest artists/dancers are welcome to audition (you don’t have to be part of our ballet company), adult roles available too!
