In Memoriam

Jeanne Wright taught dance in the Valley for over 50 years. In that time, she had a positive influence on many young dancers. If you search Jeanne Wright, Az you will find that many professional dancers and instructors began their dancing careers with Jeanne Wright at Jeanne’s School of Dance.  She was an innovator and leader in the Valley, in dance, in business and in life. In 2009, Jeanne put her influence and her support behind a new pre-professional company – Arizona Youth Ballet. She has been a Mentor, a Supporter and a Cheerleader to Arizona Youth Ballet and we will be forever grateful to her for that. She left this Earth on October 20, 2013 to join her beloved Jack.  She will be missed but will never be far from our hearts!

Mrs. Virgina Shelley danced her way into many hearts over the years, but she taught her way into ours. We were fortunate to have such a lovely and giving spirit as part of our company and part of our instructional staff. This lovely lady left us to dance in the clouds on August 9, 2013. Our dancers learned so much from her, as did we all!
